Rising 140m over 1.12 miles this 'double climb' has a
nasty sting in the tail. The first half of the climb is a drag from the
junction of Rosside Road and Stockbridge Lane out of Ulverston to a level
with Gamswell farm. This is followed by a fast short descent to Hasty Gill,
ensuring you are in completely the wrong gear for the final wall of 25%. The
climb finishes level with the parish boundary and bridleway that meets the
road.
Where is it?
From Daltongate in Ulverston, take the turning by Furness Fisheries up
Stockbridge lane. Pass Stone cross Gardens on the left (SATNAV- LA12 7XA)
and the start line is the junction of Rosside Road and Stockbridge Lane just
past the Ulverston border signpost.
Parking and Safety
Riders and spectators are requested to use the Stockbridge Lane 'Pay and
Display' car park just a short distance from the start line.
